Rize by alrajhi bank Malaysia proudly announced Calvin Lock, a businessman from Kuala Lumpur, as the grand prize winner of the second phase of its highly successful “Electrify Your Dreams” campaign. Calvin received a brand-new BYD Dolphin Premier Extended electric vehicle (EV), valued at RM125,480, during a celebratory handover ceremony at the Wing Hin Ventures BYD showroom in Balakong.

The 40-year-old emerged victorious after opening a Rize Savings Account-i, attracted by the competitive profit rates offered by the Shariah-compliant digital banking platform. The second phase of the “Electrify Your Dreams” campaign ran from 1 April 2024 to 30 November 2024.

“I was so shocked when I found out I won the car! I opened a Rize Savings Account-i after a friend spoke to me about the amazing profit rates, and I’m thrilled to have won this incredible prize!” exclaimed Calvin. “It’s the first time I’ve ever won a contest. I’m so glad I have Rize because it helped me win this car and now, I get to enjoy driving electric,” he added.

The keys to the sleek EV were presented to Calvin by Syahrul Ishak, the Chief Executive Officer of alrajhi bank Malaysia. This event marked the culmination of the Electrify Your Dreams campaign, which ran in two phases. The first phase, from 18 September 2023 to 31 March 2024, saw Bobson Ong winning the first BYD Dolphin EV. In addition to the grand prize, the campaign also awarded monthly cash prizes of up to RM200 to lucky participants.

“It’s fantastic seeing everyone get so excited about the Electrify Your Dreams campaign. It really shows we’re on the right track with offering new ways to bank and rewarding our customers. We’re already thinking about what innovative things we can do next,” Syahrul said.
