Passport ID Customers: Updates to MY alrajhi App Access & Debit Card Services
Dear customers,
Please take note of these important updates regarding access to the MY alrajhi app and a temporary unavailability of online debit card transactions.
For Passport Holders
We are pleased to announce that if you’re an existing alrajhi bank Malaysia customer who’s registered with us using a foreign passport, you’ll be able to access and use the MY alrajhi app starting 25 June 2025.
Important Debit Card Notice
Please be reminded that you will not be able to use your alrajhi bank Malaysia debit card for any online card payments from 12am (midnight) on June 20 June 2025, to 12pm (noon) on 25 June 2025.
This is because, from 20 June 2025, we will discontinue the use of SMS OTP for online card transactions and require approval through your MY alrajhi app, offering better protection, and a smoother banking experience.
Rest assured, your debit card will continue to work as usual for ATM withdrawals and retail purchases at physical merchants during this period. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
For New Customers
If you’re a non-Malaysian and wish to gain access to the MY alrajhi app, you’ll need to:
- Visit any of our branches to open a Current Account-i or a Savings Account-i of your choice, except the DuitPlus Savings Account-i, which is available only to Malaysian citizens.
- Once your account is successfully opened, you can then proceed with the existing customer process to sign up for MY alrajhi app access.
Important: Malaysian Mobile Number Requirement
To access and use the MY alrajhi app, whether you’re an existing or a new customer, you will require a valid Malaysian mobile phone number. This number is essential for app registration, security verification, and ongoing app usage.
