- Debit Card-i and Charge Card-i (“Card”) Cardholder’s Responsibilities:
- Abide by the Terms and Conditions for the use of your Card.
- Use the Card responsibly. Do not use the Card for unlawful activities.
- Check your account statement and report any discrepancy to Al Rajhi Bank without undue delay.
- DO notify Al Rajhi Bank:
- Immediately upon the discovery of Card loss or theft, unauthorised transaction or compromised PIN.
- Immediately upon receiving Short Message Service (SMS) transaction alert if the transaction was unauthorised; and
- Immediately of any change in your contact number.
- Take reasonable steps to keep your Card and PIN secure at all times:
- DO NOT disclose your Card or PIN details to any other person;
- DO NOT write down the PIN on your Card or on anything kept in close proximity with your Card;
- DO NOT use a PIN selected from your birth date, identity card, passport, driving licence or contact numbers; and
- DO NOT allow any other person to use your Card and PIN.
- Liability for Unauthorised Transactions
- You are not liable for card-present unauthorised transactions which require PIN verification, provided you have not:
- Acted fraudulently;
- Delayed in notifying Al Rajhi Bank as soon as reasonably practicable after having discovered the loss or unauthorised use of the Card;
- Voluntarily disclosed the PIN to another person; or
- Recorded the PIN on the Card or on anything kept in close proximity with the Card, and could be lost or stolen with the Card.
- You are not liable for Card-present unauthorised transactions which require signature verification or a contactless transaction, provided you have not:
- Acted fraudulently;
- Delayed in notifying Al Rajhi Bank as soon as reasonably practicable after having discovered the loss or unauthorised use of the Card;
- Left your Card or an item containing the Card unattended in places visible and accessible to others*; or
- Voluntarily allowed another person to use the Card
*Note: You are expected to exercise due care in safeguarding the Card even at your place of residence.
